The Kentucky Derby “Run For the Roses” this Saturday in SF

2013.05.04 The Guardsmen Run for the Roses Kentucky Derby
On Saturday, May 3rd, from 1pm-6pm, The Guardsmen are presenting a Kentucky Derby Watch Party, but this isn’t your normal tailgate.
At the historic General’s Residence at Fort Mason, at the 2nd Annual Run for the Roses event, guests will participate in a first class viewing of one of the longest running and most popular sporting events while drinking Mint Juleps and savoring traditional southern food. Guests can enjoy a hosted bar while participating in sporting lawn games, auction, and prize raffle — all while enjoying views of the San Francisco Bay.

VIP Guests can participate in an exclusive private tasting of select bourbon, scotch, beer and wine to highlight your personal sense of elegance and style. Traditional Derby attire is strongly encouraged. Ladies should break out their biggest hat and most colorful sundresses.
Gentlemen should dust off the seersuckers and Nantucket Reds.

Prizes will be awarded for best-dressed and most creative to those who best capture the theme for the day. Resembling a Kentucky Plantation house, the Historic General’s Residence at Fort Mason will provide a truly unique Derby viewing experience for an exclusive group of 350 attendees. After the viewing, we hope you’ll stay and enjoy DJ provided music.

Tickets are available here.
